From the Toronto Santa Claus Parade taking place Sunday, November 16
th, to all the malls playing holiday classics, the holiday season is underway. Ready or not it’s here. For unique gift ideas for the special people in your life and activities perfect for the whole family, check out the listing of events taking place in all of our communities.


Nottawasaga Resort presents the 31st Annual Sugar Plum Fair Craft Show & Sale, on Saturday, November 15th (9:00am – 5:00pm) and Sunday, November 16th (10:00am – 4:00pm). There will be over 100 Ontario–based vendors selling a variety of unique handcrafted items ranging from fudge and ceramics to body care products, candles, Christmas décor, jewellery and much more!

Hometown Christmas, which takes place in downtown Alliston on Saturday, November 22nd from 2:00pm – 5:00pm, features a line-up of family friendly activities for all ages including the chance to meet with Santa’s Reindeer, decorate holiday cookies, have the kids faces painted, and listen to holiday music.

Join your Treetops community on November 29th, from 3:00pm – 5:00pm, for our annual holiday event. There will be live music, family-friendly crafts and activities as well as refreshments. Registrants should keep an eye out on their inboxes for an invitation to the event.


Dress up in your winter woollies and join Aurora for this year's evening parade as Santa heads south along Yonge Street from Orchard Height Boulevard to Murray Drive. The parade is on Saturday, November 22nd from 6:00pm 8:00pm.

Join Santa Claus at the official Tree Lighting Ceremony on Wednesday, December 3rd from 6:30pm 8:30pm at Aurora Town Hall.

On November 22nd from 9:30am – 12:30pm drop by the Aurora Farmer's Market & Artisan Fair to enjoy free family holiday-themed art activities, plus a visit from the big man in red himself! Sponsored by the Aurora Cultural Centre.


Friday December 5th, 6:00pm – 11:00pm, usher in the holiday season with this very popular annual event. Bring the entire family downtown for carol singing and the countdown to the lighting of Bowmanville's huge Christmas tree located in the town square. You can also have your picture taken with Santa and his reindeer.


It’s the best time of year! Celebrate Christmas at the Bradford West Gwillimbury Leisure Centre Friday December 5th from 6:00pm – 8:30pm. Family friendly activities include a tree lighting ceremony, free pictures with Santa Claus and leisure skating.

Saturday November 15th, at 6:00pm, the Santa Claus Parade returns to Bradford West Gwillimbury. The parade will begin at the Bradford District High School, travel south on Holland Street West to Simcoe Road, then south on Simcoe Road to Edward Street, east on Edward Street and ending in the parking lot of the Bradford Community Centre.  Santa's Elves will be collecting your letters to Santa Claus during the parade – so remember to put your return address on the envelope so that Santa can write you back.

Caledon East

Get a head start on your holiday shopping at the Community Women's Circle Christmas Craft Shoppe & Bake Sale November 22nd Starting at 9:00am. You’ll find lots of homemade crafts, home baking, preserves, and artisan craft vendors. Refreshments will be available café style.

Saturday December 6th from 11:00am – 12:30pm The Bolton Kinsmen Claus Parade will run north along Queen Street South between Queensgate Boulevard and Centennial Drive. Come out and catch a glimpse of Santa Claus.


The Orangeville Kin Club presents the annual Santa Claus Parade on Saturday, November 15th, 2014 from 5:00pm – 6:00pm. The theme for the 2014 parade is "Toyland on Parade". The parade will feature floats from a variety of local businesses and community groups.

On November 23rd start the holiday season with Headwaters Health Care Auxiliary's highly anticipated Candy Cane Fair. There will be a selection of vendors, baked good and craft sales, toonie draws, a kids gift store (buy a gift for family and friends), face painting and various entertainers to get you into the festive spirit. Put this event in your calendar.


Santa comes to town. The town of Niagara-on-the-Lake presents one of Ontario's best Santa Claus Parades, starting at 11:00am on December 13th.

This year there are six homes in picturesque Niagara-on-the-Lake, tastefully decorated for the holidays by our team of professional designers, for you to tour. The Beeton Tottenham Business Improvement Association is hosting this year’s Santa Claus Parade and Festival of Lights on Saturday, November 29th starting at 3:00pm, in Tottenham. Dress warm and bring your camera, you won’t want to miss your chance to catch a glimpse of Santa.


Great gift ideas: On November 15th from 9:00am – 3:00pm enjoy a great selection of local artisans, crafts, vendors and bake goods at Trinity United Church’s annual Christmas Craft Show & Sale. Proceeds go to support Trinity United Church local Missions projects.

The 54th Uxbridge Santa Claus Parade November 22nd at 11:00am. The "Winter Wonderland" themed parade starts at the corner of Brock St. & Centre Rd, heads east on Brock St. through town and finishes at the high school.
