Year in Review

With 2013 coming to a close, it’s a great time to look back and reflect on the great year we’ve had. Each year we look forward to new challenges and the faces of new homeowners, and this year did not disappoint. We feel honoured and privileged to have helped so many Ontarian families reach their dreams of home ownership. If it were not for you, there would be no Brookfield.

Let’s take a look back at the year 2013.

Treetops in Alliston

In March, we opened our designer-decorated model homes at Treetops, which were a huge hit and continue to inspire and excite people considering a new home. In June, we celebrated our One Year Anniversary and the first families moved in this September.

We were also excited to hear that Treetops is a finalist for several CHBA National SAM Awards this year, including Best Website and the prestigious Marketing Excellence Award.

You may remember the story of Laura and Bradley who got engaged on their move-in day, and the story of Krista Hattle’s unexpected surprise. It was great to see these heartwarming stories emerging as homeowners begin to call Treetops home and make it a true community.
The Treetops community enjoyed fun events throughout the year, including a community BBQ in September, a wonderful Halloween event that inspired a great contest on Facebook, and a festive party to ring in the holidays.

BrookHill in Bowmanville

2013 saw the opening of phase two of our popular BrookHill community in Bowmanville West. We opened model homes in the summer (more photos here!) and released brand new 32’ designs in October based on popular demand.

Grand Central in Bradford

Our Grand Central community continues to be a great success. We celebrated a new release in September, and opened three new models in October. Visitors to our Presentation Centre asked for a 43’ bungalow design, and so we delivered, with the beautiful new Blake design.

We also had a series of fun events for the community, including a spring homeowner appreciation BBQ and a wonderful holiday party this month.

Grand Valley Trails in Brantford

2013 was also a good year for Grand Valley Trails, our Brantford community that’s now nearly all sold out. There are still a few bungalow townhomes in this picturesque community, and they’re available for immediate move-in. Last chance to move to Grand Valley Trails!

Pathways in Caledon East

The success of Pathways continued all year, and in 2013 we saw plenty of families moving in to this growing community. We also received an exciting award, the 2012 CHBA National SAM Award for Marketing Excellence.

Pathways released a brand new collection of executive townhomes with incredibly sleek, upscale interior finishes in 2013 to better meet the needs of different sizes and types of families. We also updated one of Pathways’ model homes with a stylish built-in wine cellar, and had a great time connecting with Pathways fans and homeowners at the spring homeowner appreciation BBQ.

Fieldstone in Mono

After a successful launch of phase one, Fieldstone in Mono released its highly anticipated phase two in September. Many homeowners will be moving into their new Fieldstone homes this coming year.

The Village in Niagara-on-the-Lake

The Village in Niagara-on-the-Lake’s gorgeous new model homes continue to draw visitors exploring the rich beauty and attractions of the Niagara region. This cheerful and charming community has many homes available for quick move-ins and is already gearing up for a busy spring.

Hills of Harrowsmith in Oshawa

Earlier in the year we released 46 exclusive in our Hills of Harrowsmith community, now almost sold out.  Many homeowners are excited to call Harrowsmith home in 2014. It’s your last chance to move to the hills.

We gave back to our communities with sponsorships of community events.

We also released several new videos on our YouTube channel, and launched a fun new Pinterest page.

2014 holds so many more dreams waiting to come true. We look forward to bringing you new communities in Aurora, Uxbridge and Tottenham. Stay tuned

Have a safe and happy holiday season and we’ll see you in 2014.
