Pickering - Rosebank by the Lake

Neighbourhood Amenities

The Best of Both Worlds

Rouge Park, just west of Rosebank by the Lake, is the largest natural park in an urban area in North America, an amazing fifty square kilometres of sprawling wilderness and wildlife. The park boasts a network of paths for walking and biking, and you can even take the kids camping there; the Toronto Zoo is also part of the park, several kilometres to the north, as are three golf courses. Exclusive enclaves and homes border the southern tip of the park, including the neighbourhood of Rosebank by the Lake. Living so close offers you a beautiful getaway, where you can enjoy the shaded canopy of century-old trees, hike amidst the wildflowers, or bird watch for the over 200 species living in the park.

A Community to Grow and Flourish In

To the east of Rosebank by the Lake, the Petticoat Creek Conservation Area offers even more recreational activities, with pathways, picnic areas, a beautiful view of the bluffs, and many flora and fauna to catch sight of, including fox, white-tailed deer, red-tailed hawk and more. It’s an exciting getaway for the whole family, a place where time seems slower and you can really enjoy the fresh air and being outside. The waterfront trail continues at the south end of the Conservation Area, perfect for cycling, jogging, rollerblading and more. A new state-of-the-art swimming pool is under construction at the Conservation Area, set to open in summer 2011. It includes a wading pool and a splash pad with great features for kids. Refreshing, fun-filled summers are ahead!
